There is an expression in English which would apply here (but personally, I don't like it) - "to kill two birds with one stone".

I'll correct the two of you at the same time.

2. Eat your ice-cream quickly before it melts

3. You need to beat six eggs together for the omelette. ("blend" suggests different kinds of ingredients, "beat" suggests more strength than simply "mix"

4. I fried / have fried some bacon and eggs for breakfast this morning.

5. Chill it before serving. Warm white wine is horrible. ("cool" suggests it was hot eg Take it out of the oven and wait until it cools)

6. If you make too much, you can heat up what you don't eat the next day in the microwave.

12. He loves grilling the sausages when we have a barbecue.

13. Can you crush the ice for the mojitos?
(it's very difficult to dice ice - you dice (cut into little squares) carrots and onions)

Ok well done both!

Lucía,

I don't like either expression - we shouldn't kill our feathered friends. :-)
