The above are three adverts that I remember well - two of which are from my childhood.

Choose one and recount what happens in it.

What makes an advert successful?

Can you remember an advert that you like? Or one that gets on your nerves? What happens in it?

Graham, I saw all adverts. I've liked very much the two ads about lager. One of them because it is funny and the other one because it's made me think again about what kind of life we are getting in the big cities.

The advert has surprised me most was Cinzano. The stupid and funny bloke who always spills a Cinzano over that woman ends up being heavy. Maybe is the idea which become repetitive. But, I must admit that the first time was really funny.
(She is an american actress from a soap opera, Dallas or Dinasty,... isn't she?)

Hi Montse,

I like the lager ad about the guy who escapes city life, because of the song that accompanies it. Have you read the lyrics?

I saw ALL THE ADVERTS. I REALLY LIKED the two ads...

See you tomorrow.

Hi Marta,

Do you pay any attention to the ads in the UK? Got any favourites or ones you can't stand?

How about programmes? Which ones do you like?

The ADVERT WHICH SURPRISED me most was THE Cinzano ONE. The stupid BUT funny bloke who always spills a Cinzano over that woman, ends up being BORING. Maybe BECUASE OF the idea which BECOMES repetitive.

But, I must admit that the first time was really funny.

Shock horror - she's a very British actress called Joan Collins who played the part of Alexis Carrington in Dynasty.

hi graham!!! I am back from my looooong christmas free-english holidays...
I think you know which one I hate the most: it's the Heineken ad, of course! It is so sexist!
Why can't I enjoy a fridge full of beers, like the men!
It's outragous!!! I'm joking, but I really hate this ad, and from what I know, all of my male friends love it.
See you on friday (I promise)

Hi Natalia!

And why can't I get excited about a walk-in wardrobe, just like the women?

I did think you'd hate the ad when I posted it here.

See you on Friday. 3ish.

Heineken ad is one mi favorite ads ever :)
I know that nowadays this kind of ad would be banned because the NWO but I loved it.
The ad shows on a short film two of the most typical behavior of humans. And one of them is the "Heineken way of life". Simple, fun and to the point ad. MEMORABLE, thats it

Evening Edu,

I like the first advert. It may be an oldie but it can still raise a smile. Of course, ads for tobacco were banned long ago.The PC Brigade will make sure that ads like the Heineken one are banned too. See:
